So yesterday I went to work again (still seems wacky to say that). Was good. But not that interesting.

Then I went to Jaime's and played 7th Sea with Jaime, Caleb, [livejournal.com profile] talecrafter and [livejournal.com profile] apollyon_no_oni. Not a bad session. Almost entirely planning and character interaction. One dice roll was made all game. We didn't buckle any swashes that session, but I certainly followed my heart and stood fast by my morals. I always find it interesting to do that, especially in a situation where you (as a player) can see the most efficient path your character could take, but decide that they won't see that possibility, just because they're not that kind of person.

After that, I rocked over to the Ashfield Hotel to meet up with some people (including the previously mentioned [livejournal.com profile] apollyon_no_oni, plus [livejournal.com profile] lydiere, [livejournal.com profile] aarligbyrd, [livejournal.com profile] dire_meerkat and a handful of the lj-less. They were having a couple of drinks before rocking back to Georgina, Edwina and Heli's to watch the Extended DVD version of the Two Towers.
I had a truly excellent Beef, Tomato and Mushroom pie. I frequently shy away from tomato, but it was subtle enough to be good in this case. The whole thing came atop a huge mound of gravy-soaked, pea-ridden mashed potato. All good. Mmm, pie.

Then, my pastry-enshrouded delicacy devoured and the others having finished their third or fourth drinks, we parted ways. I made my way to [livejournal.com profile] furpants_tom and [livejournal.com profile] juliadactyl's place for Disney Drinking Games Night II - Booze in Paradise.

We didn't really do the drinking game thing, just sort of put movies on and drank while hanging around. I am amused by the fact that there was only one person there who is LJ-less and he's an LJ Interest. Lucky Tony, you are such a man.
[livejournal.com profile] andrewaskew, [livejournal.com profile] whirlygig, [livejournal.com profile] justinant(naturally, he practically lives there now) and [livejournal.com profile] tabithina were all there, much to my joy. They are all superfly. Awesome to hang with them.
I also met the entertaining (and way hot, I might add, just in case she's listening) [livejournal.com profile] hugslut. She's way cool.

Woke up around eight, as did most of us, despite us bedding down around three. Hung around some more. Tom went to work. Eventually everybody, barring [livejournal.com profile] juliadactyl, left. Then [livejournal.com profile] furpants_tom came back from work. Then they went to a party for a friend of her dad. I fell asleep on their couch/futon. Then they came home, around eight. So I hung with them for another hour or so, before noticing that I'd missed a call from mum.

So I called mum, who'd been trying to get in touch with me to get me to come over for dinner, as Jenn (my little sister, for those playing at home) was cooking. So I gathered up my blankets, pillows, booze, clothes and invitation to [livejournal.com profile] hugslut's play, then left.

Dinner was very tasty (talent for, well, most things, seems to run in the family) and I had a nice chat with Mum and my uncle, Chris. That was pleasant.

Now I am online. That's pretty cool.

I am having a good life just at the moment.

True, dat. Haven't seen you in SUCH a long time. Not since Necro. *pouts*

I'm planning on going to Dreaming Fire when it's on, so I could see you there, yes?

And yes, I have found your LJ presence. I am proud of my detective skillz. Also constantly amused by the tinyness of the Sydney community.

gunn [gΛn] a., slang. The ultimate etymology of this word lies somewhere in the nether world between pirate and hiphop slang.

Of a person or thing: possessing the qualities of excellence, coolness, or neatness.

1882 R. L. Stevenson Treasure Island (1883) xix. Now, Ben Gunn is fly.

Crazy, I thought my e-mail was on my details page, but it ain't.

Jlerpy@hotmail.com

No, it doesn't mean anything, I was playing with a text-to-speech program, randomly bashing at the keyboard. I came up with jlerpy and it sounded so funny, I decided to adopt it. It is the greatest pet.

Also, "Gunn" is synonymous with "fly", due to the Treasure Island line "Now Ben Gunn is fly".
