Some stuff. Work, I think. Yes.
Evening, I went and saw the new Fantastic four film with a bunch of people.
Overall, okay.
Doom totally sucked arse, sadly.
A complete loss as a rendition of Doom.
Pitiful.
Retreated to Tom (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
furpants_tom) and Julia's (juliadactyl) and watched the SBS coverage of the aftermath to the London bombings.
Which led to Aslan/AuSLan puns.
And Hi-5/MI-5 puns, as shown by my new icon.
Friday: Beetled about, doing not a whole lot, for much of the day.
Julia had said she'd give me a call so I could come over and watch the rest of Firefly with her. But then she didn't, due to sleeping through most of the day. :(
So no Firefly pour Benj.
Went to work.
Straight after work, mosied over to the Clarence for Mandi's (badmandi) birthday event.
It was certainly good to see her, but the Clarence has gone way downhill as a venue.
Gone is the $5 menu, replaced by much more expensive, much less expansive and far less impressive fare. They also no longer take orders from the bar in the area with the decent tables! You have to go out into the main bar to order food, so they can then bring it to you in the area where you'd want to sit!
Madness!
Theatresports was going sort of okay, but we couldn't really see anything and there wasn't so much energy that we cared. Shame.
Hung around, chatting with people.
Eventually, I hit the road and gave Rachel (statichowl) a lift home, to her new digs. Damon (agent_aubergine) rose from his death-like repose and shot the breeze with us for a bit, which seemed to make him feel a touch better.
Yesterday:
Went to work.
Worked.
It was a very up and down day.
Some of the time: Nothing to do
Some of the time: Teeming hordes!(TM)
Not too bad a day, though.
I like Saturdays. They're no more stressful than a Sunday and feel like no more work, but I get payed for two more hours. I approve.
Dropped by Judy's and stayed for about an hour so Tabitha could strut about outside for a while. Lured her back in with food.
Went to Nadia's birthday bash. Which was fun.
It was a tad weird being the only non-SCAdian there, but I coped.
We spit roasted piggy on Nadia's new brazier. Tasty.
Today I shall:
Have lunch with Justin (justinant) and get to see his new home. Just down the road from Rachel and Damon's, amusingly enough. Which is, itself, just down the road from my best friend from high school's place.
The world is little.
Spend the afternoon playing board games (specifically Monsters destroy America, which looks promising)
I'm hoping to run Worlds apart, but Kane (malinari86) and Kristen (thebluefairy) can't make it, due to wedding planning, so it will quite likely fall through and we'll end up just sitting about talking shite, possibly playing more games.
We'll see.
That's my day, as planned.
Now, sleep.
