Bliss! And some other stuff...
Apr. 26th, 2005 08:40 am Almost two days. Coming into the second day since Rhiannon and I became "official".
I'll spare details, but suffice to say I am really, incredibly happy. This wondrous lady has already made me filled with joy beyond my ability to express.
By way of events:
Sunday saw the next session of Age of Aquarius (
aoa_freeform), Falling. Ultimately not too bad, but, as games go, I think I would have rather been returning Worlds Apart from its æons of slumber (I haven't been able to run in two months). I still feel uninvolved in nigh-all of the plots that are obviously whirling past me.
The company made it much more worthwhile, however.
Yesterday brought Kane's (
malinari86 Agone game into a new era: We added a new player, after two years.
Nick (
boots262) slipped right in to the group dynamic and worked quite well. Looks like he'll be a fine asset to our little troupe. Jaime baked a cake in honour of both the addition and for the second anniversary. Naturally it was mint-chocolate, this being Jaime.
I must admit that I wasn't paying as much attention to the game as I usually invest. Spent a lot of my time lost in a certain pair of eyes and otherwise not being as socially focussed as may have been polite. I like to hope the others will forgive, however. :)
After the game, we all hung about for a bit, then I took Rhi and Jaime back to Jaime's place, where we decided that, rather than just dropping him off, we would stay and have dinner with Alice and himself. Allie and Rhi swiftly turned to talk of embroidery and other craft matters, which I enjoyed seeing. I like it when people (especially good people) hit it off and find common ground.
One pleasant dinner with nice conversation later, we (and, I have to say, I'm walking on air using the term "we" here) bid them farewell and I drove Rhiannon home.
Eventually I even let her get to bed so she could return to her work today.
So now I'm finding things to do, to fill the day, until I go to Flodge.
Where I'll see Rhiannon. :D

Date: 2005-04-25 11:49 pm (UTC)About time :D My continuing congratulations - you're both terribly deserving people.
I still feel uninvolved in nigh-all of the plots that are obviously whirling past me.
I understand how you feel there, somewhat. I got to have lots of talking with the Fire Court, especially about the child, and especially with
I got up and rambled loudly at one point - I've always been funny with public speaking, I tend to suddenly forget everything I had intended to say and just hope like hell I get through it okay and get it reasonably accurate to my intent (I think I did alright. I got it out there that the Fire Court intend to see the child safe, that both parents have equal rights; which were the two main salient points that needed to be said).
Some people do seem to have lots of plots involving them, yes, while others of us kind of have to find ours. You had the insert involving me, did you not? I wasn't sure what to do with that, beyond it giving us a link to each other and something to talk idly about.
I got a few things done, as did you (from what I saw, at least :D) but do I have some swelling plotline? Not really, no.
However I've resolved that I'm going to involve myself with more people, which will include yourself.

I suggest you put aside lots of time each week for smoochies, then you'll be able to spend time with each other when other people are around, and not just be thinking "Man! We're totally wasting all this time socialising when we could be making out!"
(This is just based on my own experience and what I've noticed in other new couples. Wheee, new couple!!)
