Apr. 18th, 2005 05:12 pmWork, then?
I started work at 8.30 today. Restoring the Quartos to a semblance of order, from their earlier, chaotic state (stuffed into boxes, with numbers which appeared to be drawn like lotteries): Done!
I feel like I really accomplished something there, which is good.
Now it's all desk-work. I'm here until 7.
^Naturally^, during my break I raced home and did some ironing.
I'm a little bit tired.
Just as well I did the ironing, though: I'd forgot that Kristen (
thebluefairy) has this Soup Plus thing this evening, which I said I'd attend.
Now I have ironed shirts and pants.
A shower would be great, but it looks like I haven't time, as the band (Kristen's brother's band, that is) start at 7.30 and I'd rather not be too late.
Especially since I may well bow out pretty early.
I had the library-nerdiest thought today, musing to myself.
"612.6 is all well and good,
But I'd really like to aim for the 640s (395 optional)"
(Translation guide for those who don't immediately recognise the numbers:
612.6 - Sex
640s - Includes houses, furnishing, cooking, entertaining, wine and, most focally here, parenting
395 - Weddings and wedding planning)

Date: 2005-04-18 09:44 am (UTC)I totally got that without the explanation.
I love libraries.
And yeah, the quartos are always in terrible order. It's because people take them off the shelves to look at the pretty pictures, far more than the normal non-fic.
