Apr. 15th, 2005 11:41 pmSleep still crazy. Getting crazier, with lack of sleep not bothering me.
I managed to push myself into sleep around 3.30, then awake with a start at 7.30.
But I felt fine all day, except for the Damocles-like feeling that sleep deprivation should be dropping me like a rock at any minute.
Headed over to Tom and Julia's (
casadelatoolia), bearing croissants and strawberry jam, for breakfasting. I was just really in the mood for croissants and strawberry jam, so I dropped into the nice Summer Hill bakery ("The Happy Loaf") on the way over.
We powered further along in watching more Smallville, getting to about four episodes left.
Had quite a nice chat (albeit online, which is never the same as in person) with Kane (
malinari86), which I enjoyed. Left me feeling even more up than before. Thanks, man!
Headed to work for the afternoon. So awfully quiet.
Booooored.
Read, helped people (what people there were, that is) with stuff, hit Reload on LJ every five minutes for more than an hour.
Funny thing is, I was the least bored of the staff tonight. Penny (not
freeformchick) was out of there like a rocket as soon as it hit closing time.
I got a somewhat frantic call from Owen (
illykai), asking for directions to the current site of UNSW Gamers night.
Now, I haven't been along to a UNSW Gamers night in well more than a year. When I last did, I recall it having on recently moved, with the possibility of another move on the cards.
I gave Owen two different possibilities, neither of which seemed to work out.
Then he called James (
sim_james), who apparently gave him much the same information, to no avail.
Poor Owen.
For my part, I headed to Sutekh Pizza 'n' Games. I found it a little lack-lustre this evening, though I did play a decent couple of games of Kill Doctor Lucky.
Now I'm home.
Tomorrow:
truthandclaw, then Kim's (
luinilwen) birthday.
"People talking, really smiling
A man playing guitar
Singing for us all
Will you help him change the world?
Can you dig it? (yes, I can)
And I’ve been waiting such a long time
For today"
